My family loves this pencil and my 13 yr old son won't use any other. The pre-sharpened is a bit of a luxury, but it has saved us a lot of time in the mornings not to have to track down a sharpened pencil. Also, now my son can keep the box of pencils in his locker, knowing he always has a stock to use in a pinch and doesn't have to embarrass himself trying to sharpen a new pencil in a hand-cranked pencil sharpener in front of the class.

Once these are sharpened and pressure is applied the lead breaks. Used for a wood shop but not anymore.

This pencil is PERFECT. First of all, I simply love how the pack of pencils comes presharpened, so I don't have to agonize for half an hour trying to sharpen all the pencils. I use these pencils to write notes to myself and also buy them for my school-aged children. I recommend these pencils above any other wooden pencils. Even though I've always been a promoter of mechanical pencils, my husband used these at work and our family hasn't stopped using them since! BUY THIS PENCIL!

As a college-aged student, all my teachers have specifically requested that I use this pencil for taking tests and taking notes. It is easy to sharpen, the point lasts long, it is durable, you don't need to sharpen it so it doesn't shrink quickly, it erases well, is comfortable to hold, and fits comfortably in any pencil case/bag/pouch. It satisfies every qualification I need for a pencil. Preferable to mechanical pencils and other wood-cased pencils. Overall the perfect pencil!
