If I hadn't thrown the box away, I would be returning this. The scale actually is good but there is no light on the display! For the amount of money this costs, it should have one. My other Dymo has one ...

I like this scales and the way it works. However, when I connected it via USB cables it did not work. I first hooked it up to the back of my iMac, then tried hooking it into my PC. I did not use hubs but hooked it to the computers. I tried multiple times, redoing the hook ups but it never worked. I did locate some batteries and it worked ok with them. I am going to return it, will first try to swap it out and see if the next one works.

I gave it the 2nd star because I loved it when it worked with the batteries. I don't know reliable or accurate it is as I only used it for 1 piece of mail, then boxed it back up.

I HAVE JUST STARTED SELLING ON [@]. THIS SCALE HAS HELPED TAKE THE GUESS WORK OUT OF WHAT TO CHARGE FOR POSTAGE AND SHIPPING FOR EVERYTHING I SELL. IT HAS ACTUALLY SAVED ME MONEY. INSTEAD OF GUESSING ABOUT POSTAGE AND GOING TO THE POST OFFICE TO FIND OUT I WAS WRONG AND BEING CHARGED MORE - I CAN NOW WEIGH MY BOXES AND BE SURE THAT I CHARGE MY CUSTOMERS ENOUGH THEREFORE INCREASING MY PROFIT FROM MY SALE. IT IS LIGHT WEIGHT, COMPACT AND SO EASY TO USE. I DID GET THE SCALE THAT GOES UP TO 25 LBS BECAUSE I HAD SOME LARGER ITEMS TO SELL. THERE ARE CHEAPER MODELS BUT THEY DON'T WEIGH UP TO 25 LBS. THIS SCALE HAS BEEN AN ASSET TO MY NEW FORMED COMPANY.

This scale works great for our small business. We occasionally mail or ship items with USPS, UPS, or FedEx. Now we have an accurate weight for every package under 25 lbs.

I want to point out that if you are using the USB cable as the power source, you have to wake up the PC that it is connected to, for it to work reliably.
