Envelopes are eco-friendly and it's nice to help the environment, but beware envelopes are extremely flimsy. For anything heavier than a sheet or two of paper being mailed, tape is required on all the seams to make sure the seams don't split before it even leaves your desk.

I bought these because they were recycled (eco-friendly) and cheaper than other envelopes the same size. The price should have tipped me off. They're like tissue paper- definitely not durable enough for the US postal service.

I sent important documents, and by the time they got to their destination the envelope was starting to fall apart. It could have been a disaster. Now I have to tape up all the edges and spend more on postage.
