I decided to try a biodegradable plate, and I am happy with what we purchased. These plates are tough! You can even get multiple uses out of them, and cut items on the plate without cutting through to the table.

I am satisfied with this purchase.

I loved the idea of these plates, that they are 100% biodegradable, but someone microwaved something on a plate & it started a fire in the microwave. Other than that we have had no problems. So if you use the microwave a lot I would not recommend these plates, but otherwise their environmental friendliness is great.
