I have not replaced the old cartridges yet. But the last ones ended up streaking when the ink went below 1/2 full. I stopped using color as much because the quality was not as high as I would have liked it to be.

Having tried the generic cartridges instead of the suggested name brand for my printer I will stick to the name brand. The quality is consistant, and there are no differences like there can be on various generic brands, like one generic had some plastic chip to break off which I was not expecting and didnt think a cartridge would be different so I did insert it without breaking off the tab and not only did it not work, it got jammed in so tightly that I had to call a repair person to fix it so I could use my printer again! I dont use the printer that frequently so the savings wouldnt be worth it for me, I just stick with the recommended brand Epsom but they also do have better ink quality so for professional use it may be worth your while to get the best ones too. A personal decision but I dont want any problems when I want to use my printer so I stick with what I know works well and had no further problems.
