The size of the Epson cartridges is very small which makes printing very expensive. I was fortunate to get my Epson printer free, but now it is as if I am paying it off on the installment plan. A problem with the printer (not the cartridge) is that if any color is used up, it refuses to print at all. This means that you must always have spare cartridges on hand or be up the creek. This is very inconvenient as following Murphy's Law, one always runs out of ink at a most inconvenient time! Qulity of the printing is fine.

    I always have problems with installation. Printer won't recognize ink cartridge and I have to look on computer for procedure to fix. Why don't they write it on the box!

    We purchased the Epson printer and have been fairly dissatisfied with it as the cartridges do not last long and the printer seems to freeze up sometimes. It also prints out weirdly from time to time, though usually when it is printing correctly the quality of the print is decent.

      When a coupon comes in email, it is disappointing when you read the small print and Epson is excluded.
      HP always has a coupon ,sale or promotion going on. If you go to a store that sells inexpensive refils they have their printer set up so it rejects the ink. Unfortunately Staples didn't warn me about ink costs as they were so hungry for a sale. I could have purchased an HP if the sales person had spoken up. When this printer dies Epson will never see my bucks again

      The ink is great, however it has a short cartdridge life and we have to replace both cartridges at one time instead of one at a time. It gets to become to costly. We love the all in one, but do not like how it uses both black cartridges at the same time.

      i think that Epson should have designed the Epson Workforce 520 to have only one 125 cartridge instead of two. It would make sense to only require one.
