My Epson printer is going to the dump tomorrow and I will purchase a different brand. I am forever replacing ink cartridges and they are very expensive. The heads constantly need cleaning, but there is no warning. I print coupons, and the number of prints are limited. If the heads need to be cleaned, and I print a coupon, it will come out defective and useless. I am tired of this poor quality and will be replacing my printer tomorrow. The last time I replaced the color cartridge, it bled all over my hands and made a mess everywhere. The last printer I had, a Lexmark was a work horse. I didn't need to have color cartridges with ink in them if I wanted to print only in black. This Epson needs to have full cartridges for both color and black to print just in black. Don't buy an Epson if you don't want all of your money going to ink. They never even have coupons that qualify for Epson ink.

The printer that I have is older, (I have had it for at least 8 years), but it still does its job. Our children are homeschooled so we print off worksheets every now and then. I just changed the ink cartridge 2 weeks ago and after only printing off what seems to be a few documents, it is at half the cartridge level already. I told my husband we either need to upgrade our printer or we are being cheated when it comes to buying ink. I have always used Epson products and have been satisfied with them so I don't think I will change any time soon.
