    why is it that when I am only copying something black the magenta, cyan and yellow inks are used up? Is it to save on black ink. If so I don't care if I have to use or buy black ink. The blasted magenta is always used up quickly.

      This cartridge is one of four required to run my Epson All-in-One Printer, copier, scanner, fax and I get clear, realistic color to both photos and documents that do not smudge or run. I recently did flyers for my nephew who is a professional gospel singer/guitar player traveling around the country and he said the ones I did on my own machine for him were as good as the professional printers who charged an arm and a leg for and much better than what he could get off his own printer. Thanks Epson and Staples!
