I've trusted Epson products for over 17 years. They are well made and easy to use. The ink cartridges are easily changed out and replaced, in a couple of minutes you will be up and running again. The cartridges are a little pricey but I believe in using the manufacturers ink and not some third party to ensure quality.

Epson ink is vibrant and lasts a long time especially if you keep your prints out of the Sun's UV. They are fast drying so you can mount and frame fast. If you want quality don't skimp, buy the real deal. Happy Printing!

Twice as expensive, but basically identical to the 78 & 98 line of cartridges for home/small office printers; even the claria ink is the same...but because they know 79s are used in pro/semi pro printers, Epson jacks up the price.

For beautiful, clear, professional looking prints, I absolutely have to use Epson inks. Having three different printers, it's given me the opportunity to see the difference in inks and printers. Definitely would never use a substitute for Epson inks on my Epson printer. My special projects are always printed on my Epson printer using only the recommended inks. It's not worth the risk of damaging a great printer using inferior ink replacements. I've received many compliments on the color tones and clarity of my photos.

I use my epson printer for photos that are displayed in a local gallery and wouldn't think of using different cartridges. Wish they were less expensive but I try to cut down on my printing. I don't use a special profile but do use advance setting because photos seem to print darker than I'm seeing on my screen. i print with a +10 for brightness. Other than that I'm extremely happy with Epson ink. I have been using Epson printers and ink for about ten years, we have an all in one Epson for copying and document printing and an Epson 1400 for photos.
