Don't understand why a small quantity of inks could cost so much. But when a specific printer is purchased, there is no turning back. I must use their inks either I like it or not.

I don't know the difference between Matte Black and Photo Black, but my Epson R1900 has both cartridges. I know that my blacks print better than any other photo printer I have ever owned. Great Black Colors on Photo Paper...but the R1900 is really thirsty.

I am so frustrated with the short lifespan of these cartridges. I replace one, and by the time it charges another cartridge needs to be replaced. It really interferes with my work. I will definitely be installing a continuous inkflow system.

The Epson R1900 is an awesome printer for people who print photographs. The colors are awesome and extra sharp. The cartridges are a bit expensive and they do not last long, especially on the "Best Quality" print option. If you are a semi-pro or professional photographer with a small to medium business this printer is well worth the investment

Epson 1900 Printer delivers incredible gloss images as well as high quality on fine art papers. It's all because of the inks. I just wish I could find the ink for this model in store and the cartridges would contain a higher volume of ink.
