Comments about EPSON PowerLite 1761W Multimedia Projector:
I'm especially happy that I don't have to lug a laptop along to be able to present .pdf and .pptx files. The enclosed software to convert .pptx into a readable file is a little awkward, however.
So far so good

wanted the most portable, smallest but need a good lumens for meeting projections. So this seemed the best for the size but wish it were smaller. Updating my old 1600 lumen projector so this is plenty bright and I like the way it fills the screen from pretty close up.
works well

This projector works well in my basement in a short-throw environment of 1:1. Since kids play Dance Central with Xbox-Kinect, kids cannot be between the projector and screen (so as not to block light from projector). Projector gives about 90 inch diagonal image at a distance of about 7.5 feet from the screen. Could be considered short-throw. This projector will do until manufacturers release short-throw 1080p projectors.
