I needed something that was expandable and durable. I chose this item because I liked that the flap could be slid into the body and out of the way of working in the file. I didn't expect the rest of it to be of such good quality. In fact, my partner liked it so much I immediately ordered another one to share.

The slide-down cover is great: none this lid bouncing back into the way while getting papers in or out. The file stands squarely on a surface and doesn't fall over; it expands enough to accomodate a lot of paper--I mean STUFFED, and I haven't blown-out a seam yet as with other pocket-files. It also fits in my (17") laptop bag, is easy to pull out and handle with one hand, and doesn't have corners that catch on things.
The *only* drawback I've found: sometimes papers rest on the up-ridge of the accordian folds, making them taller than the label-tabs... travesty!
I am extremely satisfied with this, and it is exactly what I needed to carry an arrray of ever-changing paperwork for one particular job.
