Was having laminating done in store and just didn't make good financial sense. Got great deal on this and love it. Use it for many other uses than what originally purchased for. Highly recommend at least a 7 mil pouch. The 3 mil is way too thin for something you want to protect long term.

Comments about Fellowes� Venus VL125 Laminator:

I am using the Venus to laminate plant labels
to be used outside in the garden. Right now I am using 5 mil. I will see how this holds up over time. If anyone has any comments please let me know. The Venus takes about 5 min. to warm up &
after that it works great. I like the fact that
the machine opens up so you can clean the 4 rollers or unclog a jamb if it occurs, although I have not had that happen with this machine. I did have a different brand before this that did jamb & not work very well which is why I up graded to this machine.
