Casual User Cutting Board

About Me Value Oriented
I purchased this product to be used for cutting coupons I print out (easier on the hands). I did find it to either miscut or not cut all the way on some jobs, not sure if I was not cutting fast enough or not. But did find it to work about 95% of the time (using 1 paper at a time). Not sure if you can sharpen the blade (would be very handy). My wife even used it to cut some pictures and it turned out fine.

Worst paper cutter

This paper cutter is a total waste of money. It does not cut paper. I don't know why they call it a paper trimmer, it doesn't even bend the paper! [...]
Useless Cutter
By Teeks

This cutter is great the first 2 times it is used. Karen from Connecticut, I agree with you. After a while, it started chopping my paper up. It's a blade and paper. That should be the best combination in the world. Easy job...NOT!!! I would not recommend this cutter to my own enemy.

Don't Buy It!!!!!
By Wendy

I don't write reviews but I had to write and tell you about this paper cutter. I bought it for use in my business but that shouldn't matter. Although it is made very well and has quality construction it has a big problem. After about a month it won't cut properly and it will start tearing your paper.I found out that it bows slightly in the center of the cutter blade too so you don't get a straight line either. It worked perfectly when I got it but like I mentioned, after about a month it starts tearing the paper. I called the company about it to see if they offered a replacement blade. They do not. They did, however, offer to replace the whole unit for free. I thought that was good of them. I got the replacement and the same thing happened. This time it didn't even last but 2 weeks before it started tearing the paper. So, unfortunately it is a waste of your money to buy this paper cutter.Oh, and, don't even try to cut sheets of labels or anything that might be sticky. It will gum up the cutter blade. And, like I mentioned, it should not matter whether you buy this for personal or business use. If it is going to cut it doesn't matter if you use it occasionally or everyday.

I use the cutter for business and personal use. I was looking for a razor-sharp cutter without paying a fortune. I found it in this product.

Good Product

This cutter is well built and it comes in handy for all of my cutting needs. The laser can get bumped out of place fairly easy though. Other then that I would recommend this product to others.

Poor quality
By Fred

As the other reviewer stated the back piece is not flat making it difficult to get a square cut. Also the laser easily goes out of alignment. It has two allen bolts to change its orientation but there is no way to lock it in place and it easily goes out when the unit is bumped. My least favorite part of this trimmer is the blade itself. It cuts a few inches along the paper and then either bends the rest down and through the blade or at best creates a rough cut. This could probably be fixed by getting out the wrenches and adjusting it but given the overall lack of quality I'm just going to take it back.

Not the quality I had hoped for.
By Terry

The GBC 12" Classic has a major defect in themolded back, where you would normally square thepaper to get a perpendicular cut. The paper rocksagainst the molded fence, giving you cuts thatare not square. If time is not an issue, you canmake the correction before each cut. I would notmake the purchase again.
