DO NOT PURCHASE - POOR DESIGN
By a
from Cumming, GA
Comments about GE Shoulder Rests; Black:
The device does not work. I have used several other shoulder rests before that look very similar to this unit, but the geometry of the shoulder side pad is incorrect. There is a ridge in the center of the pad that causes the handset to to turn and slide off your shoulder. Also, the material that this device is made of is very slick, also causing the unit to slide off your shoulder. You cannot put enough pressure on the pad to prevent sliding. The strain caused on your neck is very uncomfortable.
Too slippery

This is very slippery against my shoulder and very squishy. Was hoping for a stiffer foam.
Good for Quick Calls - Not for long ones
By Office Manager

About Me Professional
This product was purchased for use with an office phone but after installing it and using it we've noticed that it's best for short calls when you need both hands free for a minute while you write down a phone number or brief information. Long phone conversations do not lend themselves well to this product as you will find your head cocked to the side uncomfortably and eventually may find yourself having a kink in your neck. So once again, shorter conversations are great for this product. It's comfortable for short periods of time, and it's very easy to install.
A must for a corded phone
By sharoninphx

About Me Practical, Tech Savvy
I bought a new corded phone so I had to have this in order to talk comfortably without using my hands. It is perfect to use while on the computer and doing any tasks while talking on the phone. It does not come off if you make a mistake in placing it right so be careful and make sure that you position it correctly. I tried to get the one off of my old phone and NO LUcK. I could not be comfortable without one of these! You will be glad that you got it too.
smaller phones need shoulder rests
By s

The newer phones are smaller and the shoulder rest should be made to accommodate the smaller phones. Since the phones are smaller, it is really uncomfortable to try to hold them between your shoulder and ear.
Try it you'll like it
By Peppermint Patty

About Me Practical
It fits perfectly, comfortable on the shoulder. The old ones were made out of a hard plastic and now they are improved, to a softer material, a spongy soft feel to it. Love it! I put this on my main base phone. I have handsets for the other rooms that just set in a small charger. Has anyone thought of creating a smaller version for these phones? Would really like to have a miniature shoulder rest for the handsets as well. Staples only had black, would like to see in other colors too. Like silver, white, ivory.
NOT ENOUGH REST

THE WIDTH AND LENGTH ARE FINE HOWEVER THE THICKNESS IS NOT ENOUGH TO MAKE A GOOD REST FOR YOUR HEAD.

Not really a good support

Needs to be bigger and harder to hold phone against your cheek.

The idea is old but using self stik foam for the product doesn't yield a good support.
