        The horizontal fit for 4x6 cards in the box I bought is just slightly narrow - enough to make the cards slightly bend when inserted. I should have returned it but decided it was just what I needed for another purpose...just not index cards.

                Great for all the information besides addresses on family and friends, phone numbers, birthdays, anniversaries, favorite color, and kids.
