    There are a few flaws. These chair mats were purchased specifically for hard wood surface and the description said they were resistant to sliding. That is not the case, as they easily slide, whether it is getting a chair back on it or simply stepping on during walk. I have almost fallen several times when making the last step before being seated and because I was also stopping, the mat would slide 2-3 feet, causing a hyper-extension of my legs (split). I am over 50 with degenerative back disease and this caused extensive pain.

      I did not know that this product did not have spikes on the back of the mat to hold it to the floor. We will make due with what we have but would not recommend to buy your would not buy again. Will make sure next purchase of a product like this will have spikes so it will not slide.
