Comments about HON 1600 Series File Pedestals; 2-Drawer Pedestal File, 28Hx15Wx20D, Black:
I am very disappointed with this product. I ordered this file cabinet based on the information in the Q&A section of the Staples.com site. It turns out that was misinformation. It said that it came with rails for hanging folders -- it does not. It said it came fully assembled -- it did not. I would not have ordered this product based on that alone. Although the casters were easy to put on, the holes were warped so the screws could not be turned all the way to lie flat. The top drawer sticks on moving in and out, and does not lie flush with the front of the cabinet when closed. The bottom drawer was scratched and part of the finish has flaked off. There are no rails inside for hanging folders, only wire dividers, and these were just tossed into the drawers unwrapped. Very shoddy construction and poor value for the money.
Bottom Line No, I would not recommend this to a friend

About Me Practical
This product is very well built. I'm using it to store all my classwork for my college classes. Two of the wheels have locks on them so the file cabinet doesn't move once you have it in the spot you want it. The drawers open smoothly. I didn't know if I should get it since no one has reviewed it and it was pretty expensive, but since it is used for storing important information, I didn't want to get something cheap and have it break. Overall, this is a must buy product if you want something to store important files and also have mobility, too.
Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend
