This is not the HON quality from past years. They have unfortunately resorted to cheap construction. I bought 3 of these cabinets and 2 of them need to be returned because the lock is defective. It is missing some sort of nut or apparatus to hold it in the cabinet, it just pulls right out, and there is not a lot of room there to try to do some kind of self help fix. Also, the sliding file guide that used to make the HON cabinets so great is gone, repleaced with some sort of cheap wire guide that doesn't really hold the files up. A major disappointment.

Very Poor quality as it was recieved damaged with the whole top caved in! Very flimsy and very poor craftmenship! I do not recommend this product!!!

I ordered this product, because of HON's reputation. Upon receiving the product, it came damaged. So, I called Quill, where I ordered it from and I told them, it came damaged; they asked me if I wanted to replace it. I told them no, because, I do not want this happening again, so they told me that we will credit your credit card and you can dispose of it or whatever you going to do with it. Don't get me wrong, HON is a great company, I have another HON 4 drawer Legal filing cabinet for almost 10 years; no problems with it.

Wonderful cabinet but I had to add feet so that I could raise it a little off the floor as well as level it. I recently remodeled my garage and didn't want it to sit directly on the floor since garage floors can get wet and as with every garage there is a slope to the floor for drainage. I added some corner brackets on the bottom of the cabinet to hold some screen-in feet. It worked great, very easy to do. Now it sits up about 1 1/2 inches off the floor and is completely level. Filed it up with all my boxed files and absolutely love it. Also, would have liked it if Hon had included the paper drawer labels. Going to call them and find out why. I double checked the packaging to make sure I didn't miss them. Maybe too critical but that is why I rated it 4-stars instead of 5-stars.
