I was very clear when I purchased this bookshelf that I wanted quality. I never mentioned price. I was assured that HON was an excellent quality of furniture.
I had to stay home an entire day to receive the furniture and hired someone to assemble it. I was shocked to see that the inside of the HON bookcase is made out of glorified CARD BOARD. Yes you heard me correctly. They try to mask it by painting the 'glorified cardboard' to make it look like wood. You can see the folds in the creases which bend like cardboard. I lost an entire day of work and paid someone at least $60 so I am keeping this piece of junk the 'pretends to looks like quality furniture'.
I am a free lancer worked. I would be horrified if any customer looked at this bookcase closly and saw the folds of the cardboard.
I just don't get it and it makes no sense to return it. It also is not sturdy. I am having someone come over to nail it to the wall because I'm afraid it will fall over.
