Comments about HP Pavilion P6-2316S PC:
I was forced to replace my 2005 Windows NT which served me well but recently turned into a paperweight. I am so happy with this new HP Pavilion p6-2316s Desktop PC by HP that I just can't stop singing its praises. Windows 8 is a tad unwieldy at first, but not nearly as bad as some of the others. I also got installation service from Staples and there again, I can't stop going on about how helpful, friendly and yet professional the service I got has been. My gaming and internet usage is at an all time high. The speed makes all of the difference! The value is also incredible. I paid 1/3 of what I did in 2005 and got personal installation to boot - my old system was shipped in by UPS. I recommend this system highly to everyone who I can get to listen!
Great Starter Computer for Budget Minded

I bought this computer for my preteen whiz kid. He loves it. It is quite fast. We are still figuring out the new Windows 8, but I am pleasantly surprised at the high quality graphics and speed for the price. I am even thinking of buying another one for our home. It's truly a great value!!
HP Pavilion Great Value despite HP

Set-up was confusing somewhat. Not as easy as it could have been ... but it was a software load issue from HP vs a hardware instructions hard-to-follow situation.

Great store very helpful you get to have the Tech sell you the computer explain how to use it do an on site set-up and make sure every thing works as a system. In the future you can go back and ask him about something you don't understand.

I've been running Win XP and planned to buy a new PC in the fall or early 2014. Problems with old main PC necessitated an early buy.

Does not have wireless capability

Had I known that the unit was not wireless capable I would have considered another model. I assumed that all models were suitable for wireless connection. Perhaps there should have been a disclaimer that this model lacked that feature.
This computer is great for the price

I was using a three year old laptop to complete my work at home and for all of my personal computer needs. I did not realize how slow my Dell Laptop was until I started using this computer. I did purchase extra memory so that this computer does not slow down like my laptop did. I was able to load all of my previous programs and then some. I am not sure that I like Windows 8 yet. It is very different than any of the previous versions of Windows. I am sure it will be fine once I become more familiar with it. Bottom line is I am very impressed with this computer for the price that I paid.
DO NOT BUY THIS COMPUTER
By JONES

I purchased this PC at a great price to replace a 5 year old Compaq I purchased at Staples. I love Staples and the sales reps were very good.I have owned four HP or Compaq desktops and three HP Laptops. All have given me great service. This one is being returned after one day. After hooking up an HP printer, I tried to print a document, but before I downloaded the driver. NORTON ADVISED THAT THE CPU was maxed out, and the system shut down for 45 minutes. I then downloaded the driver. The next morning I listened to an HP internet radio station, pre-installed on the HP app section, and again Norton advised that the CPU was maxed out. I checked and it was at 100%, and the only other function opened was one tab on explorer, but not in use. I understand the price was right..CHEAP in fact. BUT a processor needs to be better than the 5 year old Athlon 32 bit on my old Compaq. This HP is being returned in the AM!
