    I use this for mostly personal use, like printing out documents, directions, coupons, etc., and my wife uses it to print out her assignments for nursing school. The 88XL black ink cartridge lasts much longer than the regular 88 ink cartridge. I definitely recommend getting this one instead, even though it does cost a bit more in the short term. In the long run, however, I believe that the more economical choice is the longer lasting 88XL over the traditional 88 ink. They are both very easy to replace, which is an added convenience.

      I scan and save documents pertaining to my family history research project. When I need to print out a document, it is so clear, I can hardly tell it from the original. Old treasure photos print out with excellent color and clarity with the HP XL ink used in conjunction with a good quality photo paper. I have never had a photocopy of a picture to have an appearance of a faded or distorted reproduction. While HPXL seems to cost a little more, it is my opinion that the end result is well worth it.

            I find that this is a good product which does give me the quality of print that I desire. I do a great deal of printing and have found that I have no problems with this product. I once tried to use another type of cartridge and discovered that the quality was not what I desired; therefore I came back to what I know is good. The only problem I have found lately is that the regular size cartridge is not readily available, and sometimes my budget does not afford me the opportunity to purchase the XL size.

              Our Activities Director was very pleased with the life of this cartridge and I was pleased with the value. The only drawback is that it is a bigger size than the regular cartridge so she didn't think we would be able to fit both color and black XLs in her specific printer.

              I use the printer mainly for work & no way does it print as many copies as the box says & then some is left in the cartridge & unable to use to the end. Expensive too. My printer is a good one so I am stuck with this ink for now.
