I didn't have any trouble inserting the color cartridge (don't need to put the black one in yet) so ease of insertion is a plus. I have printed using fast economical print setting and the picture has been pretty bright.

      I am currently recording and compiling the family history of my husband's family, and printing a lot of stories and photos. I keep the 94 cartridge on hand as backup, but mainly use the 96 cartridge for longevity. Once I am finished with this project, I will start on my own history - also a seriously long project. My printer will be busy for a long time.

                The HP inks are much better than off brands. The off brands may last as long or may die a few pages into use and you have to replace the new cartridge. I have had this experience and now I will only but HP inks. The off brands are not as sharp as the HP inks.

                I have been amazed at how long each cartridge lasts. Homework, coupons, sermons, projects, reports and on and on. When I get the notice that the cartridge is low on ink it can usually still print many more pages. It allows me to finish what ever I am working on without running out in the middle. Changing the cartridge is so quick and easy that it takes only the amount of time it takes to add paper to the printer. Just like that I am backj in business again. I can often get good sales on these catridges so I always have some on hand.
