I find that when I buy ink for my printer, unless it is black, I'll need the other colors very quickly. Buying a multipak makes sense unless you only use black ink. I do; however, take the cartridges out of the box before I put them in the drawer to save space in the computer drawer. Also, when they are out of the box, it is easiewr to recognize the color that just ran out and needs replacing. I did not put in pros or cons or best uses for this product because seriously, if you need a specific ink package only the manufacturer's brand will work best in that computer.

After the hp88, hp02 and 960 individual Ink cartriges, the 564 photosmart inks allow for ink replacement without changing out the print head each time and does not leave unsused ink in the cartrige because the other inks in it run out first. The discounted 3 pack is ideal for general stocking because it costs less per cartrige and with Staples tripple rewards offered by Staples, you can purchase 3 tripple packs and re-cycle 5 old ones at $6.00 each and 4 at $2.00 for a total of $38.00 in rewards plus the 5% of $3.80 for atotal of $41.80 or half the price of the ink purchase. The rewards make the HP 564 cartriges only $5.00 NET.
