I have tried to buy other brands that are cheaper and I always come back to hp.
They are always what I expect so I am never unhappy. I feel that the ink lasts a good length of time. They are easy to install as well and not messy at all.

Dialog box comes up on cartridge replacement acknowledging HP ink being used. Had problems with refills in the past and it cost to have printer overhauled.

I use Staple's excellent tech support and when I buy my ink there (and get discounts with their coupons) they can't question printer performance due to off-brand or refills.

I do a lot of 8x10 photos and get spectacular results of my grand daughter in costume for her
school report. When the color is off or ripples
start appearing in the image it's time to replace ink cartridges --- I know my HP PC's XL7 can warn
when ink supply is getting low --- I've had it pop up a dialog box with low ink alert --- now how do I check ink level before wasting expensive photopaper ---- I'll ask Staples tech support.

I found out, apparently, XL doesen't come in a multi pac. I would buy bl XL & c XL just for the bit of savings in the XL. So I was surprised to see bl XL & reg size cl so i went for it knowing i choose to use BLACK for saving most of my filed copies.

I was refilling the standard size cartridges that came with the printer. I had to refill them quite frequently. Since I purchased the 61XL cartridges, I haven't had to refill them yet. In fact, I ran out of paper before they ran out of ink. The copies I have made have been clean and clear. I don't print color very often, but when I do the colors have been pretty true to the original document. In fact, I had a hard time telling which Form 1040 was the original and which was the copy I had just made. The only color issue I had was printing a very pale blue. Although, that was probably an issue with my printer and not the ink.
