I like the fact this cartridge works in both my HP printer and my HP plotter. Judging from the pricing, this is where HP makes their money, as I see these cartridges for the same price everywhere. HP must have a price lock in place.

        This product does the job it is intended to do. It is easy to install, and gives good clean copies. The office has two HP printers and both are reliable and produce copies that look professional. The ink cartridges could last a bit longer and need to be a bit less expensive but compared to their competition they are competitively priced.

        The colors are sharp and bright. The HP Solutions Center provides warnings and reports on ink levels which allows cartridges to be replaced before they run completely out. Black cartridges in our office tend to run out before other colors so the ability to buy them separately makes replenishment affordable and avoids excessive quantities of supplies that are consumed at a slower rate.

                  This is the cartridge that fits the older HP DesignJet model 500. The #82 black cartridge doesn't fit the older printers, even though the #82 color cartridges do. Some descriptions will say that the #82-black will fit. Not if you have an old printer. You must use the HP #10 for these. Best advice -- Replace the cartridge with the number you are using now.
