Now that more and more companies want you to go GREEN, you have to print out your bank statements, credit card reports, financial statements. It may be green for them but really it only saves them money and it costs us paper, ink and therefore money. This particular cartridge may be expensive but for the number of pages it prints, it is well worth it because you don't have to constantly change the cartridge or worry about changing the cartridge every week or two. As I tried to write above, I bought it before and I will buy it again!!!

When the ink level indicator on the computer says the cartridge is empty and should be replaced, I have found that the cartridge will last a good while longer and should not be replaced right away. I have been able to print many, many documents before the ink begins to fade to a point where it is sketchy or illegible. The same is true for Hewlett Packard ink 75XL. While it is true that I think the price could be somewhat less expensive, we do get good mileage out of each cartridge. We will continue to use this product.

I have used the regular and the xl and the amount of times I have to change cartridges makes it worth the xl. I got a few of the regular 74 and after changing them once a week I will always buy the Xl as it is well worth the price and the time to keep me from having got stop and change a cartridge. Anyone who prints as much as I do needs the xl and the convenience even for my mom is definitely worthwhile.

I have not had a problem with this ink drying quickly and no smudges even with multiple page documents printing back to back.

Besides Genealogy I keep notes for several volunteer organizations and have to keep quick, accurate records. I am on a fixed income and this ink cartridge gives me long-life for these activities. People remark how concise and clean-looking my reports are. I tell them it is because these particular ink cartridges have longer life and I don't have to replace them very often and I get to use the ink up completely with no smudges and they are so very easy to replace and then you just trade in the used cartridges and get credit for each one you trade in - I am a happy user!

I really like the ease and convenience of this product. It is very easy to replace a used cartridge with the new one and not have to worry that it's not done correctly. I am able to always find the exact cartridge I need for my printer at Staples. That saves me time and energy. It would be nice if it was a little bit longer lasting, but I guess it depends on how much I use it. It would also be nice if the cost was a bit less. But at least it is still available. I use my printer for everyday printing as well as special projects.
