Was able to find the XL and was pleased with the number of pages it would print. For the price I felt it was a very good deal. The price at Staples and another store was the same where I expected Staples to be more expensive.

I would not recommend the 61 HL cartridge. I received no more prints than the regular. Not worth the additional cost.

61 xl generally performs excellently and is a good value for the money especially with Staples incentives. Had one cartridge last only a week where usually they last 3 weeks for our usage. Other than that, no problems.

I never knew the difference between the 61 and 61XL ink cartridge until someone at Staples pointed this out to me two years ago. The 61XL ink cartridge lasts much longer than the 61 ink cartridge. We do a lot of printing for school projects, Boy Scouts and business correspondence~in addition to occasionally printing photographs. Nobody in my house likes replacing the ink cartridge and this has made the task of replacing the ink cartridges less frequent. So glad that a Staples employee informed me of the difference! I always use 61XL now!!

I was disappointed in the life (number of page print)it was about the same as the other 61. The color faded the more pages that was printed. The more I printed the lighter it became. When I quit and then tried to print later in the week the copies were a little darker to start then became light again. I took the information on a disk to local non franchise copy store and make the copies I needed cheaper than I printed them using my hp printer. I expected to get twice as many printed sheets from the xl. The cost is outragious for what you get. Very disappointing
