    I love HP ink. It is very easy to install and a very good quality of ink. We have had 6 printers over the years and still preferr the HP printers and ink over all the others. I love the clear prints that they produce. I always referr this product to all the people that might need ink or printers. I love the quality of the pictures that I print and know it has a lot to do with the ink as well as the paper you use. I am a constant user of HP products and will always purchase them over any others out there. Mary

      The ratio of two black-and-white cartridges to one tri-color seems about right for my usage in an HP Deskjet 6540. The quality level is high: I generally find it flawless, except just once I found an empty cartridge in a new package, which Staples replaced at once. I also give the tri-color cartridge credit for coming through with a "graceful degradation" when I was caught without a black-and-white -- the tricolor by itself made a perfectly respectable black, though admittedly not cheaply.

      I have had my HP Ink Jet for many years and it has been a reliable workhorse for my small business. I like the quality of the ink and the consistency of the coverage. I do think that brand name cartridges such as the HP 96/97 ones I use are priced high, even when bundled, but feel I am getting a better product than the discount brands, so I keep using them. I recently printed 150 sheets of color text and a photo - non stop for a trade show and the quality of the coverage was consistent from 1st to last page.

        I will only buy genuine HP ink cartridges. Once I took my empty black and color cartridges to a store to be refilled. I never was able to get a copy out of either one. Thank goodness I had coupons to get the cartidges filled for free. I'd have really been fried if I had had to pay for the service. It was no bargain. I got an excellent price on this purchase and they perform as intended. I like to purchase the larger size cartidges for the value and I just don't want to run out.
