I bought this printer at Staples and got a great buy (on sale). It was SO easy to set up! It also offers many help features, by phone, on-line, and via chat, though I did not need to use any of them. It came with a disc and it practically set itself up. I can use the HP Officejet Pro 8600 Plus to print, Fax, scan, copy, and it can be used via the web. It is quiet, quick, and very reliable. It has a sleek, modern look that I am proud to display. There are no paper jams or problems of any kind. The ink does not seem to get used up too quickly, which is an economical plus. I would certainly recommend this printer to friends, neighbors, and relatives. Although I use it at home, for personal reasons and for school work, my husband plans to purchase one for his business, shortly. Thank you, HP, for such a wonderful, versatile, reliable, and efficient quality product.

This printer worked wonderfully at first. Now, it's like pulling teeth to get anything accomplished. One moment it works, the next it doesn't. Just scanned a 16 page document. Worked w/o a problem. Now scan the next document . . . tried now five times, won't scan, get an error message that the paper is jammed when it is not, loses wireless connection (other devices not losing internet connection). It is acting like it is years old when it's under six months old. And "help" is of no help. I am soooooooooo disappointed.

The color setup screen was very easy to comprehend and to use. The setup proceeded without confusion and without a setback. The wireless connect to several computers, including laptops works marvelously and at a distance. One laptop is several rooms away and connects for printing without having to be moved closer to the printer.

This printer is so much faster than the one we had before. I am very impressed. Also this new printer will pick up my wireless computer quickly. With our old printer my husband had to leave his computer on so that my computer could be used for printing. He can now shut off his computer and the printer still picks up my signal. So far I am very impressed with the print quality. I just made a certificate of accomplishment and it looks like it was professionally done. I was also very pleased with the price of this printer. Very affordable.
