I really like the design and flexibility of this printer. However, the instruction manual is horrible. Everything has to be done online and the instructions are not clear at all.

For one thing, faxing multiple pages is not as easy as it was in older models.

Also, you would think that given the printer is always connected to the internet it would auto update the time for daylight savings time (DST) but it does NOT! One has to mannually update it and the online instructions are inccorect. The say that you just pick a time zone after you open the EWS (Embedded Web Server... a major project in itself) but there is no such section.

Thus, this printer is not for the novice. I think of myself as a rather resourceful and knowlegable person and I found it to be rather difficult and time consuming to just change the time!!!

I owned the previous model to this printer. The Office Jet Pro 8500 A909G was easy doing setup. The new Office Jet Pro 8600 is greatly improved and updated model. The setup for this printer was even easier.

It took awhile to get all the pieces put together right. This is not a small machine. A large manual held promise til you realize it is the same few pages in 4 languages. It has been time consuming but I have figured out how everything works that I have needed so far. It is pretty and comforting to see the HP logo. It has not jammed at all yet. It just makes a lot of noise when warming up to print. Scan function works perfectly and much easier than others I have used recently. I also liked getting the supersize ink cartridges. saves time and hassles.

We will have to use this for awhile before we are able to review it completely. We have problems printing on card stock, does not feed properly, and the cartridges are more expensive. Hopefully we will be able to print more per cartridge.

We just bought this priner and so far its great. Its compact. It was easy to set up and easy to use. Love the touch screen. Printing is professional grade and effecient. The wireless ability makes it great with multi computers in our office.

Have was reluctant to buy this product. but sales people were great and said they will back me if any thing went wrong. took it to work. set up was easy and a little trouble setting it up. the printing is very fast and it never jams. Scanning is much quicker then the cannon that i have used. havent set up fax yet hope it will be easy to. the only thing i do not like is it is black and it collects a lot of dust. maybe it should be in white, the sample carteiges have not run out yet. which is great. look forward to future business with staples.

This is my latest HP Printer purchase and it is an upgrade from my 7310. I have only had it a few days but we have one in the office and I knew I would purchase the 8600 when it was time. The only problem we have in the office may be a software issue not the printer. I have not experienced any problems and am very satisfied, and expect to have it a long time. I usually work from home and do all my printing at home and look forward to using all the latest features. I especially like the speed at which this printer works, especially when I need to print at the last minute as I run out to meet a client. This is my fourth HP printer and expect the excellent service I have had with all my others.
