Because our nearest Staples is 100 miles away these packages make it easy to always have a fresh one on hand. We can't just run down the street and get a new replacement. The shipping-paid auto-return mailer makes disposal easy and quick via UPS. The bundles of two black makes it easy too.

if you have the appropriate printer (ours is a 2605dn), then you're not going to have a lot of choice on cartridges. buying new (not refurbished) cartridges has always worked best for us: when we deviate from that norm, we have been rewarded with short-endurance and other problems. stick with the original equipment manufacturer, and at least you get consistent results.
the combo pack is the way to go. some times a better deal than others (even at staples); yet the cartridges do seem to run down at pretty much the same rate.
might or might not buy the same printer again. but as long as we have this printer, i'll keep getting these cartridges for it.

Even though they are pricey, it is much better to be able to buy the color replacement cartridges for the HP 2605 Color printer as a three pack as opposed to buying single cartridges for each color. The replacement cartridges are extremely easy to install and with the normal HP Software installed on the printer there is a god calibration performed after the installation is complete. since the colors are not used in the same proportions for each page printed the liklihood of having to replace all three cartridges at the same time is remote, but at some point they will all have to be replaced so buying them as a package deal is the smart solution.

These cartridges are a bit expensive, but they last a very long time and they work really well. They are not too difficult to replace and the trade in is a nice feature at Staples. I have no real complaints. I highly recommend them for almost any use.
