This is a very good printer if all you need to print is in black ink. However, certain labels (UPS label stock for instance) seem to cause some print issues that may affect the toner cartridge and fuser. I had to replace my printer for this reason as print quality was compromised (toner streaks and specks).

As I commented on cons, it is only slow when you turn the quiet on. Other than that it is a very efficient printer. I love it.

Unfortunately, I had to return this very fine product. It is not wireless, but will connect to a Network. I have tired of some many wires and wanted a unit easily accessible to my devices.

The print quality was excellent, and the speed? Super fast printing. It gets hot on the back top portion of the printer, and you may see steam coming off it as well.

I liked the printer, and if I wasn't concened about a USB connection, I would have kept it.

I had an HP Laserjet 1320 that worked very well but
was not network ready. I used it with a print server which finally
died after about 10 years of service. I decided to get a laser
printer that worked with my wired home network out of the box. This
primer did that and was surprisingly easy to install on my
network.

This printer has been a headache from the beginning. Most of the time it thinks it's disconnected. It may work better with a non-Mac.

Took 3 hrs in chat room with HP agents to bring it back from the dead after in use only 2 days. Printer keeps shutting itself off. Noise cover is annoying because it doesn't click into place--it's just loose. I miss my old HP1300 laser printer (9 yrs old).

Seems to be a very good printer for the price. However, to print an envelope another step is required in that the "print button" has to be pushed - took a while to figure this out.

I have a HP6p Laser it was fast at the time I bought it. This hp1606dn is twice as fast. Setup was so simple. I pluged it in connected the USB cord and it automaticaly loaded the program.
