The ink doesn't dry up on you if you don't use it everyday, that was the main selling point for me. The replacement ink/ toner is only about $65, opposed to the $80 I'd spend on ink each month for our printer/ scanner. I really only need a printer for receipts and coupons, not for photos. I am a child of the 70's so when I say this printer is easy to use (easy like a calculator) I mean it! It's also pretty compact and doesn't take up too much space. I also really like the HP brand over the "other ones" that are on the market.

Fine little printer, fast and quiet. Open paper tray and accessible second separate envelope feeder make it quick and easy to changed paper and print envelopes without having to pull out closed drawers. Print quality is very good including b&w versions of color photos. "HP Smart Install" (no software needed) did not work but it was an easy set up using the enclosed software CD. Have not had it long enough to know reliability or consumable costs but it replaces an HP printer from 2001 that was still going strong. Hope quality is that good.

This printer solved multiple problems for our household. First, we were constantly buying black cartridges for our printer/scanner (which we still use for color printing) but no more! With two kids printing many homework assignments, it is still going strong on the cartridge that came with it. Also, because of the wireless capability, we no longer have to leave our main desktop computer running so that everyone on our home network can print. I did have to use the included installation CD to set up each computer (wireless driver installation didn't work) but that was pretty straight forward and after I figured out the first one the rest were simple. Great printer for the money! Highly recommend for home use!

Being a mobile franchisee. I'm always on the run and this setup works fantastic in the back of my truck. the wireless print lets me print from my I-pad or from my mobile phone. In to see the customer, print his needs or receipt. Back out to the truck and the papers are already printed out. Awesome product for what I need it to be.

I haven't used this printer for very long, but so far it has worked well. I also purchased another one for a faculty member at the institution where I work to take on an intensive learning trip abroad to use for his class handouts. It was small enough that he was able to carry it easily, but durable enough to make it through the trip without too much hassle. He reported back to me that it worked perfectly and met his needs exactly. I definitely intend to purchase more of these for my clients.
