This is the first laptop I have owned. I LOVE it.
It was easy to set up (especially considering I am not very computer literate). I bought this for my own personal use for reading the news, e-mails, surfing the web. I was concerned because it has Windows 8 --- I have heard some not so good things about it. I have not had any issues with Windows 8, so far.

I needed to replace my old laptop and it was between this one and another. They both had pretty close to the same features and the cost were comparable but since I have an all in one touchscreen HP desktop, I chose this one because I trust the HP name and the quality is really good. The 10 key on the keypad is a great feature when having to input a lot of numbers. Working with Windows 8 takes a little getting use to but it's not bad. It was extremely easy to set up the networking & connect to my wireless internet. Overall I'm extremely pleased with my purchase.

I trust the HP name and I had a great coupon from Staples for $100 off so I couldn't resist. This Laptop has a nice clean look and a very sharp screen. The HP customer support was exceptional. Windows 8 actually works really good. Its new and different, and once I learned how it works I became very satisfied with its uses and operating system. The keys on the keyboard have a nice easy feel to them though it would be a huge bonus if they were lit because I use it sometimes under low light conditions. Overall I am impressed with this laptop and are very satisfied with my purchase. I would consider getting another one for a relative if I received another big coupon (Yes Staples that is a hint).

A nice little lightweight laptop for the money. This isn't my primary computer but I keep it in the kitchen so it is handy and it does get used daily. Speed is adequate. Easy to take with when needed. Really no complaints except for the audio quality. I ended up purchasing a set of speakers to keep in the kitchen cupboard if I want to listen to music!
