Comments about HP Premium Plus Photo Paper; Soft Gloss, 8-1/2x11:
I first tried a lower cost matte finish paper and the quality of our pictures came out terrible. The HP premium gloss paper really made a difference. The same pictures that came out terrible on the lower cost paper came out much better on the HP paper. I actually felt I could frame the pictures and put the on the wall. The sales associate at Staples was very helpful with helping us find a better quality paper when I first told him how the previous printing did not come out well. For pictures I highly recommend a gloss photo paper not matte.

I like this paper and have been using it for years. I print a lot of photos for personal use and find the paper to be very good quality and don't see a need for the higher end paper. This is expensive enough.

I have tried numerous types of Photo Paper, some resulted in paper james, some streaked, and some did not cut right in my photo cutting tool. This paper feeds well in both of my printers, A Printmaster all in one and a Kodak all in one. The colors vivid, clear look exactly as I see them on my pc screen, using both Photosmart and Windows Photo gallery. Having 8 grandchildren, we take and print many pictures, keep them catalogued on CD, however, print many for friends and relativew. I haven't experienced fading on this paper as its my first try, only printed a few dozen prints, some of which are framed and hung in my living room. Some previously used paper(hung on the wall, framed, have faded considerably. I will keep using tis paper, hopefully they will not fade. PS. I reprinted some of the faded pictures on this new product.

Not New and Improved!

I own a Photosmart D7460 printer which I have used for the past several years. The printer uses HP 02 ink! During this time I have exclusively used HP Premium Plus Photo Paper. The color in my opinion was INCREDIBLE. Then along comes NEW and IMPROVED Premium Plus Paper. The colors are muddy and dark. I have tried every combination of settings I can think of. A friend who also has the same printer is having the same problem. I know it was not a printer problem because if I put in a sheet of the old paper It would again print with incredible color. I called HP and was told they were unaware of the problem (even though I found many comments online from people that claimed to have contacted HP about this issue!) HP was unable to give me any ideas about what to do. Finally I gave in and purchased an HP 7510 thinking the paper might have been reformulated to work with a newer type of HP ink. I had the same problem. I returned that printer and purchased Another Brand of Printer. The New Printer prints perfectly (Even on the New and Improved HP Premium Plus Photo Paper!) (GO FIGURE!) So if you plan on buying a Different Brand Printer you might want to purchase this paper. Maybe if I had gotten a little more help from HP Support this review might have been different.
Awesome prints with this paper!
