I've used many paper cutters, and this one takes the cake. It gets a lot of compliments on how nice it looks (it looks like a very high-end, expensive cutter), but looks are deceiving because it is AWFUL. If you want to fold your paper rather than cut it, then this is the cutter for you. Otherwise, pay a little more for a better one. Also, the sliding guide does actually slide (although other reviewers seem to have a problem with theirs); however, the guide is extremely flimsy and could easily be lost because it doesn't lock in properly.

We may have received a defective cutter. The blade handle was not straight when it came out of the box. It doesn't cut straight and would not cut through 3 sheets of paper. Very disappointed, seeing as we already own another X-Acto brand paper cutter that is longer, and that one has worked good.

I purchased this Heavy Duty X-Acto paper cutter this week and I am returning it today. I only needed it to make single cuts through photo paper. Well, half way through cutting the paper, the blade stops cutting and the paper bends. You cannnot get a clean cut. After several attempts I gave up and packed it back together to return. Also, the paper guide does not move easily at all.

We have a real Heavy Duty out in the plant, this one is used to cut paper forms. Don't think it could handle more than that.

I used this to cut coupons..never cut more than 10 sheets at a time...coupon paper is very light weight paper. Handle broke off! I have no receit ..so no refund.
