When my 18 year old HP710C died: I was heartbroken: it was a great printer, and I lamented the fact that it was discontinued. For the past week I have experienced nothing but praise for the HP6100: letters, staff lists, spreadsheets, graphics, budgets with and without pie charts, photos: all have been printed with great quality. The HP6100 excells in Black and White, as well as in Color. Since I could not find another 710C to purchase, I am delighted that I chose the HP6100. I hope it continues to be as reliable in the future as it is now!

My previous HP printer lasted three years which was a record for me. This HP printer is faster then my old one and the quality of the color prints are slghtly better. Much easier to change the ink cartridges on this model.

I haven't had the printer long enought to rate it's ink consumption or to rate how it prints a picture. I bought this printer because of the speed it prints, which is great and didn't need all the bells and whistles of the added fax and scanner features. I have used HP printers for at least 15 years or more and have loved all of them.

Easy to set up. Using it to print Point of Sale PC's nightly auto-reports. Compact - fits nicely on a standard office shelf - very important since there is limited office space.

I bought this because my old one was several years old and slow. I got a new laptop late last year which came with Windows 8 (which I hate). Although I was able to print, the old printer kept restarting the laptop. Very annoying. This one was on sale, looked like a good size and came with a four cartridge system. It's much faster than the old one and has a slightly better quality for photo prints than the old one (which was an HP All In One 1300 series). I, however, neglected to take into account that it's only a printer with no ability to copy. But, for the price, I guess I can live with that and use the All In One I have at home (a newer model than the one I replaced at the office) to do that.

Really enjoy having the option to print from anywhere, especially from my iPhone. Before I got this printer I had a hard time navigating getting something from my phone to a piece of paper. I also really like being able to sit in my backyard on the laptop and print the documents I need wirelessly. My only real complaint is how noisy it is and the large size. I was hoping it would be something that would be easily transportable but that isn't the case. Regardless, it is wonderful not being tied by a cable.

I have only had the new printer a couple of weeks, but so far I am very happy with it- I was operational about 15 minutes after opening the box. It prints faster than expected- does very good copies for a low end printer. I have used it for color and Black & white documents

I was looking for a printer with the most bang for my buck. Through Consumers Reports, I researched what was tested and found to be a cut above the rest. It was affordable and readily available locally. I always rely on Consumers Reports when in the market for new purchases. I always look for products that meet and/or exceed the Editors expectations. So far, this eprinter has lived up to its advertised uses. I have had absolutely no problems with this product, and really don't expect to. I would highly recommend this product to anyone who has the need. I have other HP products and enjoy the quality of each one. HP is a good company that you can rely on and will remain competitive and in the market for years to come. They have my vote of approval. Excellent eprinter 6100.
