Comments about EPSON Inkjet Multifunction Machines; Expression Premium XP-800 Small-in-One:
The printer is very nice. The only thing I am not happy with is the standard ink cartridges don't last long. I am going to order the XL cartridges hopefully they last a lot longer.

Poor Quality for Epson
By Anonymous
from los angeles, ca
I had the Epson Artisan 835 and LOVED it. Unfortunately it was damaged and we had to replace it. This new version is just poor quality versus what we already had. The scan cover feels loose and cheap. The AF kept eating my paper! I had to manually scan each sheet separately for a fax. It's not what I am use to for an epson product. The only nice thing is the size is smaller which is perfect for our smaller office space. I have not done any prints yet and I am praying they are just as good as the 835!

Nice space Saving Printer
By DK12

Just got printer today. Set up was easy, but tedious. It took me about 3 hours because there are many steps to the process. The only small problem was the difficulty when inserting the ink cartridges. That was way too time consuming. The manufacturer needs to improve there. I have another Epson printer, the Artisan, and its much easier to insert ink cartridges. I have limited space for a printer and the XP-800 fits nicely on a 12" deep shelf in my office. So far the printer is doing what I want it to do, and I can't ask for more than that.
Missing Information
By Aznipper

The instructon book DOES NOT CONTAIN ANY INSTRUTIONS as to how to print CD 's. NOT a single line on CD printing instructions! I was lucky enough to find the info on the instructions loaded from the set up disc. The procedure is more complicated than the previous "800" I owned. It seems to print OK. But I feel Epson really erred by not ptting CD printing informatoin in the basic instruction book.
Printer set-up

I am very impressed with the clear instructions for getting the printer connected to my wireless laptop. I know very little about computers or how to connect things. I got it connected alright but when I couldn't scan and send things to the laptop or email a document I got out the book and followed the instructions for downloading the software and drivers....bingo..I did it..yeah for me and Epsons easy to follow instructions
Small and Powerful

I connected the 800 to the network and it responded immediately. It also worked flawlessly with the I phone and I pad. The only criticism I have is that I wish the rear loader would take multiple copies.
Great product for small office needs

Had to replace my all-in-one color laser after an absolutely awful customer service experience with Samsung. The Samsung was only 4 years old but, by comparison, this machine is an absolute joy. Set-up was easy and everything worked like it should from the beginning. Ink cartridges are way smaller and way cheaper and I think the print copy is very good. Used for periodic business needs as well as personal - scanner is a little slow but more than fast enough for my purposes.
Black Ink
By RobC

The printer over all is great . But when you do the set up it's very easy . But when you when you check the INK level after have printed about five pages you will fine that that the black is very low . I think the ink cartridges are not full that comes with the printer . So I would recommend purchasing more ink .
Great Printer

My wife bought me this printer without my input and it has turned out to be the best printer that I have owned. I like the ability to print from my smartphone anywhere there is a WI FI connection
Good product

The print quality and photo quality are quite good. Setup and connection was reasonable and straightforward. The size is very compact and we installed it where we could leave the discharge tray open always. This is more convenient than opening and closing on each use. We have not used the scanning and faxing features yet. The touchscreen is logical and straightforward. It is reasonably quiet and vibration free.
