This stays on my desk, no noisy electric sharpener that eventually burns up. Does the job. We have some classes that use these instead of the electric ones.

Bought enough for each student to have their own. 4th grade class room and this did the trick to cut down on noise and foot traffic to and from class room sharpener. Each student was given one and it is kept at each desk.Works well and storage bin keeps the room clean.

I was hoping for the best with this lighting base don the price and length, but the plastic is so thick that the lighting is very dull and barely lights up a small space around it.

I bought this to sharpen my daughter's "starter" colored pencils. It was the only one with a hole wide enough. I was only on my second pencil when the sharpener broke off of the container lid. It's only glued on. I continued to use just the sharpener and then it cracked all the way down the side. The replacement I got broke the same exact way within a few days. This cheap is just too cheap I guess.
