I wanted a light weight tablet under 13" for travel. Most of them do not have the features and capabilities I need for business use and presentations. They were not able to substitute for my office computer. Surface Pro comes close except for price. The few that do have the wanted features cost over $1200. This Lenovo ultrabook convertable with core i5 was a great value and more suited to my needs. The Yoga would have been fun, but this is the practical workhorse I needed at a good price.

Wish I could give you more pro but have not had it long enough before it had to be sent in. I owned this for less than 2 months and 1 of the drivers goes bad. I sent the unit in with the diagnostic data as I already took the computer into the local store only to have them inform me that it is a manufacturer issue and not the stores responsibility. Lenovo has had my unit for 2 weeks and I still don't have it back. When I track my repair status there has not been anything done to the unit in 12 days and when I call they tell me a technician is working on it and they do not record their status. How hard is it to replace a hard drive? You will need the extended warranty just to cover the time it is in the repair shop.

I brought 3 of these and but one broke in 2 weeks. I have to exchange one. The other two works fine. Touch screen is not always responsive and slow at times even for basic navigation. Most of times are fine. In tablet mode, the display lip is pressing against the key pad and makes the cursor move by itself. After windows upgrade, it is complaining about driver on working and I cannot get rid of it.

I walked into Staples the day of the Windows 8 launch and was lucky enough to get on of these. I use it for both personal and professional tasks. Everyone who sees my laptop is envious, and I had even one guy go out and buy the same laptop (after a trial at my expense, of course). This will be my favorite laptop for years to come as I can now use it for work on creating documentation, designs, or even coding. At the end of the day, I can flip the screen around to wind down with articles and books. Absolutely love that!

Speed wise, boot times, shut down times, and program launches have remained acceptable. In fact, I'd go as far to say that the frequent updates by Microsoft, Lenovo, and Intel have made the performance and reliability better. I have had no problems with my USB devices or SD cards whatsoever.

My only complaint about the PC is the frame on the screen. Mine seems to have developed a squeak on the chrome rim that goes around the display. I was irritated for 2-3 weeks after it started (2 weeks after purchase). I did some research and found that this is a known issue in Lenovo products and forums have described a fix that requires disassembling my screen. Naturally, I grew to live with it and don't even notice, nor care, any longer.

I plan on switching out the standard HD with an SSD some day, but am having a hard time justifying that right now. I've had zero problems with performance, so I will live with it.

Just an idea as to how I use this, I have your standard document creators running, but I also have several development tools running on it (MySQL database, Eclipse, Visual Studio Express/Blend). All of them perform like champs with no problems.

Can stress enough how much I love this computer! Helps me a ton in my professional and personal life. It is, by far, my favorite piece of tech I've ever purchased.
