          When one cartridge goes, they all go and I don't use color very often. They don't print nearly as many copies claimed. This is a very expensive machine to maintain. It was also a very expensive machine to purchase. Also, you can't go from regular paper to photo paper very easily. I really wish I had not purchased it.

          I bought a laser printer to help reduce my costs of replacing my 8 ink-jet cartridges. Well, I made a poor decision. While I enjoy the speed and the color is pretty decent on the Lexmark, the ink cartridges are expensive and do not give the 3000 prints they claim. I realize as a designer, I'm using heavier over-all coverage, however, I think I'm only getting about 1000 prints, at best, out of my cartridges. Lexmark should be more realistic in the fact that people aren't using these types of printers to solely print out emails or one color documents.

          I own a travel agency and print customer invoices, make cruise and travel flyers and while this machine prints a beautiful copy the cartridges do not last anywhere near what the company claims they do. 3000 copies, I don't think so, half that is closer to the truth. Would not buy this again, ever.

          Average cart only produces 1600 pages at 3 percent coverage. Manufacture states 3000 at 5 percent. Not even close. All the benefits of the 534 dn are not realistic with exception to print quality. I am happy with what it can produce. Just not the expense. [...]
