The cartridges are very inconsistent. Some last longer than others given the same amount of usage. I started to use the high yield 34 a couple of years ago and the current product does not appear to render as much as it used to 2-3 years ago.

        I have used lexmark for years. the ink is good, but over these five years it has doubled in price! The quality is present, but cost is about to outweigh it!The cartridge registers low when in fact can be used for quite a bit longer, so don't replace too quickly!

        I usually get 1 or 2 cartridges a year that are half bad mostly with the color cartridge. one or more of the colors won't work. New cartridges won't register on my printer as full so i am always guessing when I need more ink. I would only recommend if this is the only size or style of cartridge needed per the printer specs.

        We love our Lexmark All in One printer, copier, fax. We just find the ink to be so expensive that we end up doing the "refill" thing to save on costs. This does not make the most of our printer, but it does help out the old pocketbook! If we are going to print off photos, we do make sure to purchase the Lexmark cartridges.

        I wish that Staples had their own replacement cartridges at more modest cost. All of these cartridges are too expensive for what they are. I have three printers, including two HP to feed. Most of the time I keep them in Draft mode or quick print to conserve the ink used. Most of the time I print the paper using only black because that carteridge is less expensive. For some reason prices are often higher in the store than on your web site so I need to check both. The ink cartridges have always been fresh with no problem using the cartridge.
