I am using the Lex 27 with the Lex 17 on a Lexmark Z515. Have come to the realization that I am paying more for the replacement cartridges than I paid for the printer ! The only way I can justify the cost is with Staples' ( return used cartridges policy ) and their sometimes infrequent sales on the Lexmark products. The printer is ok for everyday use and the inks do make documents presentable. As for color photographs, I may use it for a sample picture or quick copy but I would rather use my HP3200 with good photo paper for a presentation photo. I'll continue to use the Lexmark as long as Staples gives me credit for the empty cartridges and has a sale on printer ink.

      you have to order this on-line now. they don't carry the single color in the store, only with the black ink as a package. it's an older printer, so i guess it doesn't justify carrying it. it didn't take long to receive and it came to the store for me.

                I have only used the Lexmark cartridges - some last a long time and others very short- I don't mind paying the price if I can get more mileage out of the ink. Not knowing any other kind - I am stuck until my printer dies. Maybe they are all like this -unpredictable.
