    This printer (Lexmark 905)uses color ink even when you select black or gray scale only. Black cartridges routinely stop working when still half full. Would not buy again. Costs much more to use that advertised.

          This printer and it's cartridges are the best buy going. If you make many black ink copies or print with black ink a lot, this is the best deal ever. Easy to load, easy to replace (always in stock at Staples), and last for a very long time. The cost is very inexpensive and high quality. It dries quickly and doesn't smudge. The color cartridge replacements that go with the printer are overpriced in my opinion, but I do not make a lot of color copies so it takes a long time to replace. Highly reccomended!!

            This ink does not last the 510 copies it claims. Additionally, if your Lexmark copier is not used everyday, the black ink cartridge will fail to print even though the ink level is half-full. A Lexmark printer was not a good choice at all.
