We needed more than 4 ports for our office network and this is one of the few hubs that has 8 ports. We got the first one about 10 years ago and finally had to replace it with another of the same model from Linksys.

I had the smaller 5 port unit but one of the ports did not work when they were all in use. Difficult to find the issue and resolve even with the online help so I tried again with the 8 port. This one works great with no issues.

Linksys needs to stop changing their physical designs. I liked their previous uniform stackable modular design, but now their devices don't stack together well and now my system of Linksys modem, router and switch all look so clumsy since they all look different and don't stack as well as their earlier uniform design used to be.
