I absolutely love the feel of this journal. I takes me back to days of bottled ink, quills and blotters. The binding is substantial; it even made it through two grandsons (5 and 3)without a mark. I's easy to clean with just a damp cloth.The paper absorbs just the right amount of ink;no globbed letters.The pocket is perfect for notes and receipts.And the ribbon marks your pages reliably. I lies flat for easier writing.I plan to use it like Thomas Jefferson did with his garden diary; mine will never match his but I will have some idea of what grows well in on area and not so well in another. And a record of my experimentals as well.I will love to hand this down to my grandchildren as they are aspiring farmer are 3 and 5, :)
