Save your money

We purchased this machine in April of 2012. It worked ok, once you fiddled with the adjustments to get a good fold. The rack that is supposed to collect the folded items? Useless. Needs to be redesigned so it actually catches the folded items correctly. As it is, you have to sit there to collect the sheets, or let it collect by itself and then straighten them out. Starting a couple of months ago, the problems really started. First off, one of the adjustment knobs on the lower guide stripped due to it being very thin metal. Plus I was able to clamp it in place so it would not move. Then it started misfeeding paper, folding in the wrong place and at an angle, ruining about 25% of the sheets. I tried feeding the sheets individually, still did the same thing. And it was sporadic, you could not predict when or which sheets it would mangle. And all of this was after approx 1000 sheets fed thru. Since it was less than a year old, I wrote for warranty assistance. Martin Yale said that I overtightened one of the knobs, causing it to strip, and they wanted to sell me the parts. They also said I needed a tune up kit, at a cost of over $50 to straighten out the misfeed problem. After only a 1000 sheets! Now, we are back to folding them by hand. Luckily we don't have that much to fold, but it was kind of convenient while it lasted....
Paid for itself the first time I used it

Take the time and patience to assemble and set this machine up according to the instructions provided. Make sure that you adjust the rear folding tray as well as the front one because this is a dual fold process. Then it is a Godsend! It flawlessly folded single sheets and each fell into the tray, not on the floor. When using the bypass for two and three pages it works equally as well but it is more time consuming because you have to put the three pages together and then feed them evenly into the slot - one set at a time. Still better than by hand. All in all this unit saved me hours of hand folding and best of all no paper cuts!
Used this machine for about 10-13 years

I purchased this machine 10-13 years ago and have used it for the past 5 years, on a daily basis - folding our invoices. It's a bit tricky to calibrate the machine when you need to change settings for varying folds. But, aside from the recent pad breakdown, we've gotten great use from this folder. Only wish we could find someone to repair it for us - still working save the "feed pads!" I glued one on but the other is torn in half.
Gets the job done

This machine works OK. The paper does not feed through automatically, you have to stand there and lightly tap the stack to keep the sheets moving through the machine. It does the job, just requires a little more assistance than I was interested in giving it.
Hand Feed Multiple Pages

Multiple pages have to be perfect to not wrinkle. Turn the machine off and make sure the pages are perfectly aligned and use the feed button or it will wrinkle the pages bad.
Saved my fingers!

We do quarterly newsletters. This saved our fingers, and our wrists. Fabulous value. It can do different folds. Once we got the adjustment right,it went quickly. The tray has front and back bars, none on the side, so sometimes the papers will fall on the floor, but when something saves you hours and hours and hours of time, you can bend over and pick a few pages up now and then. Can't believe we didn't get this sooner.
So far, so good!

Have only had time to test the machine and it worked as advertised. Will know more after we start our runs of 2,500 and 3,000 next month.
