This hole punch cuts well through several sheets, but you have to set it on something to keep it from sliding around. We attached a sheet of a plastic grip material on the bottom & it works fine. I purchased this same punch several years ago, but the bottom was of a rubber material that did not slide.

The entire office used this hole punch everyday and it looks brand new. The center guide broke, which is an odd thing to have happen. A solid piece of metal snapped while releasing. It's inexpensive enough that we just replaced it. Great value.
