So far I am still learning about all the faetures of the Neat Scanner. In a word it is "NEAT". I have scanned several items and am pleased with the speed and how it works. One pass and both sides - wow.

I LOVE this machine!! I bought one for my office at home so much...that I went and bought another one for my office! Even though we have a full size monster copy/scanner there...this product is SO much easier to save PDF documents with...I had to have another! LOVE IT!

This scanner is extremely easy to set up and use. The OCR needs some help but no more than any other software I've used. It would be helpful if the paper guides were adjustable. Having odd size paper can cause paper jams and tilted copies. It is very easy to add folders and to move documents from one folder to another. The fact that the information can be exported to Quicken, and Turbo Tax was an added benefit that I was not aware of when I purchased this product. I currently have 3 file cabinets filled with paper, I can't wait to be able to shred them all. I have not tried scanning photos because that is not why I purchased this product. I will probably stick with my flatbed scanner for those tasks, but I may give Neat a try just to test the capabilities.

I have a very busy and responsibility filled life style between home and work and special needs family members. Organization is crucial to keep things running smoothly and to have accountability for various important recordkeeping needs. I've been wanting to purchase this item for some time, but needed to save for it--the price is a bit steep. However, it is worth it! Paper control at last!

This is my second Neat scanner. I find it easy to use after you have used it a few times. It makes your documents easily searchable and you can store them in any folders that you predesignate. It does require small amounts of documents because if you put in too many, it will scan wo to thre pages together, which is not what you want.

The system crashed several times on Windows 7. Recovery was not too difficult. However, it only links to Outlook on your desktop. It will not link to exchange and does not have fully corisponding fields. Not very usful for a buisness customer.

I scan all the receipts for our business. The software was very easy to learn; in fact there wasn't much of a learning curve at all.
One of my favorite features is the ability to search for a specific word which makes my job easier whether it's my business partner or accountant looking for information.

I was initially hesitant to try the scanner due to the cost and my unfamiliarity with it. However, it quickly became a "must have" for the office and I'm sorry I waited so long. I would not hesitate to recommend this to a friend or colleague.
